Down nearly 20, we never seemed to get frustrated. We didn't execute offensively in the 1st half, but kept their big 3 under control, it was the 7 made threes we probably weren't expecting.
The 3/4 court trap was the difference in the game. Purdue's guards and ball handling was suspect and it threw off the motion of their offense.
Purdue blowing all their time-outs also helped and I like the new rule as we played longer stretches that kept our momentum going.
Not once did I see any lack of confidence from Uthoff, Sapp or Mike during the 2nd half. Great win for the seniors. Also----Nicholas Baer, what else can I say about the guy. When you watch him on the court, he does even the little things that don't show up in a box score. Hustle, hustle, hustle. Terrible form on his shots that look like someone from the movie Hickory, but who cares?
I went from thinking we might 1-5 in our first 6 games and have to go on a huge run to make the tournament to thinking we might be 5-1 and an opportunity to contend for the Big 10 regular season championship. ALOT of basketball to go, but a great start.
