So now KJ is calling out Downey and should be. Job on the line and your best wrestler will not go even though medically cleared. Your best wrestler mocks dual matches and his nutcase Dad says the ISU team has less heart than junior high teams. So question: Can KJ just bench his ass for the Big 12 and NCAA tourneys? I mean KJ is done and the ISU fans are mocking the Downey crew as are all wrestling fans. Not saying he will, but can KJ just sit the little bitch? It would be so good for the sport to bench PD3 and not let him "destroy Dean, Nickal, Dudley and Brooks." Cause those guys actually wrestled this year.

At least Sadulaev has a decent sense of humor.
He has told ISU fans not to waste their money on duals and has called out everybody from the Granny who gave him a dirty look in line at Walmart to his teammates who actually wrestle (kinda) to Sadulaev. All this while ducking every legit top 20ish guy (except SDSU in the beginning) using the McRib excuse and now a hurt ankle. All while tweeting he is ready to go but the coach is holding him back. Reminds me of Scrappy Doo.
Spooner - I know he can bench him but would he? Closest thing I can remember similarly is Gable yelling at the ref to get stall calls on his own Iowa wrestler years ago,to get him stalled out. Would love to see KJ bench the felon punk. Hell he may was well since he is gone and dipshit Downey was a reason this year.
At this point, Evil Eye Walmart Granny has to be favored in that matchup -- half of winning is showing up.

I'm sure he could bench him but I have to believe there's a little bit of KJ that wants to put him out there in the big tournaments and watch him get what's coming to him...I know I hope I get to see it!! You think he's already started thinking about his excuses with all this down time?

What's bad for Iowa State is good for Iowa. With that said, Jackson should at least strip him from being a team captain. It is a circus over there. I don't think there is another coach out there that would let that punk be the team captain.

I have a serious Downey question. As delusional as he is, will he be a finals/title contender next year? I was looking at intermats rankings and there's a lot of seniors at 184. Now clearly Nickal is the favorite and I wouldn't pick PD3 to win but he has some talent and there's a lot of turnover next year

Downey is an absolute talent. If he's dialed in he's a contender.
He's a heck of a wrestler, but I'm actually surprised he's been able to make it this far into his career without any legal/thuggery issues.

I follow him on snapchat (shows how young I am)...he is currently in a casino hotel room, getting drunk. I really don't understand how he hasn't been kicked off of the team as this is something I've seen multiple times during the season on there.
