Does anyone else hope that him and Amy never get back together? I think if Sheldon ever has sex, they completely changed the character.

I think eventually Sheldon will find a way to have sex with a super computer and that's how the show will end.

Amy FF will have to find alternate sources of pleasure or get a real boyfriend.

I've always said and I truely believe that if he does have sex then it will have to be in the series finale.

I think they are flirting with destroying suspension of disbelief with Penny and Leonard getting married however. How long can Leonard be in a sense living with Sheldon (by having most of his stuff in his apartment) while also being married to Penny.

The difficultly is that if you move Leonard away from Sheldon (and perhaps replace him with a different roommate) then the series fundamentally changes as the comedy revolves around Leonard being Sheldon's straight man.

If they are Dr's why do they have to share an apartment that a waitress can afford on her own. In a building with no working elevator. Makes no sense.

Not that it really changes too much but I would note that Sheldon and Leonard's apartment seems to be much bigger in size then Penny's.

I would also note that some people who can afford their own place may choose to have a roommate simply to save money.

Overall it is a little strange but not totally inexplicable.

I would note that as of last season Penny isn't a waitress she's a drug sales rep.

In one episode didn't they explain that Sheldon doesn't cash his paychecks?

She couldn't afford it, remember She was always bumming money from Leonard and sheldon to pay rent and they paid for her food. As hoosier states, she is now a pharma rep and is making more money than leonard.

Yeah he's frugal and trying to save his money to merge himself with a machine so he can live forever. (Or something like that.)

In any case kind of silly though because don't checks expire after 6 months or a year?

Also one would think Sheldon would know there are safe ways of investing that money so as to collect at least enough interest to match inflation.

I've always found it interesting though if Sheldon is so frugal how in the world is it that they are constantly getting take out? One might think that perhaps Raj is buying the food for them but then it wouldn't make sense that Sheldon is slightly perturbed that Penny is constantly eating their food.

I have a cousin who is radiologist and he has a roommate. Kid makes a good amount of money. His goal is to save as much money as possible, so he splits a 2 bedroom apartment with his old roommate from college. Neither of them want to buy house, don't know how long they will live there.

But I just heard said roommate gf is wanting to move in, might get a little akward & tight living quarters.

BBT is a weird show. Each episode can be watched in a vacum without context for the most part.

The wedding is the "jumping of the shark" for the show. I can't believe it will go on much longer. I think most people who watch it watch it in reruns rather than the first run episodes.

I'm curious as to how they will handle the wedding thing as well given that the core of the show has always been Sheldon's antics with Leonard as his straight man.

It's really hard to have that if Leonard doesn't live with him.

Well, when Major Nelson married Jeannie, that was pretty much the end of that show....this is sort of the same
