Shirts and Skins

I doubt it, but I wish they still had them. Since they got the new practice facility, they practice or play over there on Saturday mornings.

I never felt that Fran was totally on board with the shirts & skins games or Midnight Madness (see other thread). The excuses were easy to come by: too early football; Carver set up for volleyball or a concert or ....

Our friends from Sienna would remind us that Fran is the consummate CEO of his program and manages the players time as he sees fit.

They should have a shirts and skins tournament challenge

Bring out the local talent

Not a bad excuse. That place is a furnace on warm days.

Seriously? I take it you have never played ball. We would play outside in the summer and sweat balls. And play game after game.... These guys are essentially professionals(literally considering a scholarship costs $80+k), and in better shape than 99% of the people you know. They can play in CHA on a 95 degree day with 80% humidity. They will be fine...

Outside is another matter. Thete are breezes and no outside pressure from people watching. If you think a coach is going to expose his players to high indoor temps just to please a couple hundred fans you are not very brigh

Oh please lets not act like it's some sauna in Carver. It isn't bad for 90% of home games. What is the excuse for when it is 60 outside?

I am sure there are many good reasons to not have the shirt and skins any longer. Your argument isn't one of them for 95% of football Saturdays.
I am fine with them when the temp is below 90° in there. And I actually go and watch the team then and am a season ticket holder.

I think the heat and no AC is totally overblown. I've played in CHA during the summer and on the court it isn't that bad, up in the stands yeah it gets damn stuffy but heat rises and CHA is a below ground or side of hill facility. often you get cool breeze from the tunnel.
