Shoplifters beware...

Sad most of the original comments portrayed the suspect as the victim who should sue Walgreens. Good example of the world we live in today. Little guy deserves a break against 'the man' even if he does something illegal.

This will end up a training video on how 'not to confront and deal with a shoplifter'. They got him on video. Call 9-1-1 and wait for the cops. If the perp wants to get physical and flee, let him. Don't grub him and beat his @ss when he resists.

Shoplifter was dressed pretty well for a criminal.

From one comment it said the guy tried to snatch the purse of an employee and then hit her.

Maybe grounds to be charged with robbery, and the coworkers were seen as helping her out?

A lot of places are taught to not confront shoplifters as legal issues can arise - and they wonder why the prices keep going up!

If you break the law - you should get arrested.

If they were police officers, there would be no problem as they were subduing a criminal who was resisting arrest. Should the rules be any different for somebody making a citizen's arrest?
