With Jones out that was going to happen anyway but no Williams or Fleming. Might see more of this against the elite teams they'll play this year.

We need more rebounding. Williams and Fleming wouldn't bring that even if they played. Thought Wagner held his own last night against small pretty tall dudes. Uhl can help and Jones would too so hoping the knee is not serious. We were just lucky that FSU could not make very many close shots. I think the second chance points were pretty lopsided last night, or at least it felt that way

If the starters can improve enough to where they start playing like veterans and Uhl and Wagner improve enough we can run a poor mans Wisconsin like short bench. Uhl is the key. If the starters improve we are basically starting three guards and a wing which means we could bring Uhl in as a substitute for anyone. I would love to see Uhl improve enough to get 20 mins a game with 10 mins or less each going to Ellingson, Wagner, Baer and Jones. In close games against good opponents we could play with a 7 man bench. It all depends however on if the starters can improve and Uhl improves as well.

That's basically what happened last night. Uhl played 19 minutes and the others were at 9. The starters will all play big minutes barring foul trouble.

I was glad to see Uhl have a good game last night. With a starting lineup filled with upperclassmen, Fran should ride them most of the year. The bench will have their moments.

This isn't a depth team. Next year might be a struggle, so we should maximize our winning chances this year. And that means we need to ride our upperclassmen. Uhl should be our 6th man, Ellenson our 7th (our guard substitute), and then maybe sprinkle a little Baer, Wagner, and Jones as match-ups dictate.
