Do you think Iowa could shame fans into coming to games if they released true attendance #s?
Well, would it work on you?
For 2 more months.Would just prove Iowa is a women’s basketball school.
Oh OK. Why doesn't Iowa release the numbers for both teams going back to 2000? Then we can see if it's truly a women's basketball school or if this is just a blip caused by the presence of a single player and the local and national media doing their best to promote women's sports. After said player leaves, let's have the school release the numbers for that season. The band wagon jumpers will be long gone and the 4 few thousand real fans will be all that's left.Would just prove Iowa is a women’s basketball school.
It was pointed out during the end of the Lick era that number is tickets sold, but they also know how many were scanned. One of the writers did an FOI to find actual butts in the seats and it was bad. Each games attendance is chronicled already after every game in the game's box score. Even espn does it, per their box,pp00pp last night's attendance was 9670.
I don't subscribe to any print news; however, I bet it is there, too.
IMHO, one doesn't get motivated by shaming folks, rather sell what's there to watch & hopefully something they can & will support.
That didn’t answer the question.I make about half the men's games...as long as we don't have work or other obligations we go.
Does it matter?Do you think Iowa could shame fans into coming to games if they released true attendance #s?
I think all schools should release actual attendance for all sports. That wasn't possible in the past, but with the current scanning system, the actual numbers exist.Do you think Iowa could shame fans into coming to games if they released true attendance #s?
Yes, it is right now due to CC22. Hell, she is selling out opposing teams venues all over the country. I laugh at your Athletic Department for turning away people when Iowa played in Madison last month. They didn’t have the top bowl open at the Kohl Center and left around 5,000 seats not available to walk up ticket sales (17,230 capacity, sold 12.252)and didn’t market it to get a true sell out like all other schools have done. Typical Bucky small mindedness.Would just prove Iowa is a women’s basketball school.
I don’t know enough about this poster, if he is a troll or a Whiskey fan, but where do you think Wisconsin’s AD is at right now, a volleyball school?Would just prove Iowa is a women’s basketball school.
