Should we outlaw adoptions from foreign countries?

I have a business associate.......same story. It's been a challenge for them, for sure.

My dad was adopted Young you are all right, it's a challenge for their whole life.

Very simple, there are a lot of people (lawyers, doctors, social workers) and medical/administrative costs involved in the process. This is what you deal with when going through a private adoption agency. Not sure where you got the $20k amount, but everything I have read indicates the cost of international adoption is as much or more than a US child. It depends on which country you are adopting from.

I guess it depends on the source...went back and looked at the U.S. figure and that was for Texas (where I live). Numbers seem to be all over the place, but anywhere you look at it, it's expensive!
