I was looking at my season preview TwT column, noting that even as a huge KF apologist, I was wary and very skeptical of how this season would play out and I stumbled across this comment by Khawk4 in the comment section under the link:
This year is definitely a "backs against the wall" season. Wishful thinking has me believing that Ferentz will rise up, be more aggressive, and really understand that another mediocre season against a terribly easy schedule could spell the end. Sometimes, in situations like that, thats when people perform at their best. And I believe that attitude of do or die will trickle down into the team, and they will play with a sense of urgency as well. Ferentz is beloved by almost everyone he has coached, and would absolutely go to war with him. They, in a sense, need to play like they are protecting him.
I have to say, Khawk4, NAILED IT!
Great call, man.
