Tight end George Kittle and the 11–0 Iowa Hawkeyes are featured on this week’s regional cover of Sports Illustrated.

In first place in the Big Ten West with just one more game to play — against Nebraska on Friday — the Hawkeyes are possibly the most surprising undefeated college football team of the season after finishing 4–4 in conference in 2014.

In this week’s issue, SI’s Albert Chen takes a look at the college football programs that, while in the national championship calculus, are generally not take seriously as title considers, specifically Iowa, Florida and Michigan State, each of whom holds their playoff fates in their own hands.

The following locations will receive the Iowa cover: Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota.

It's ok guys. The SI curse is strong, but my betting money is stronger. I never win money bets. I will put $10 on Nebraska to win straight up. So its safe Iowa will win now.

On newsstands when?
Why?

Are you gonna travel through about a dozen states buying up every available copy and burning them in a ritualistic bonfire presided over by clergy from every major current religion, plus witches, warlocks, spiritualists, and other authorities from every non-traditional or pagan belief system ever known to mankind?

Because if so............count Ol' Doodle in!

Usually on newstands on Thursday or Friday, not sure how it will be impacted by the holiday. I hope to see it before the Nebraska game!

There may be a loophole: this is a regional cover. Anyone have the fine print on the curse handy?

We're ok. The author of this story is from Nebraska. Can't force a jinx. Karma doesn't work that way.
