I had lunch today with a retired Navy aircraft carrier pilot and his girlfriend, who still works for the Navy. She got the email and her department head (or whatever it’s called in military terms) sent a memo to everyone telling them to not respond.

She said the first email they got looked like spam and everyone ignored it.
