Meyer started to head to midfield but when he saw the fans swarming like crazy he turned around and headed to the exit, and I couldn't blame him one bit. I also saw an official get kind of engulfed by fans, and couldn't help but think "man I hope no one makes a stink about this swarming of the fans" since it is such a cool thing (but can be dangerous, remember when that player (?Mizzou?) cold-cocked a fan in a situation like this?)
In the SEC (and remember, that's where Urban came from), they don't allow any and I mean ANY fans on the field or the university gets a huge fine. I really hope no one complains about yesterday's events, but I fear eventually someone (an opposing coach or an official, most likely) will, and then a cool tradition will be gone.
