I like Sagarin, Massey and the others as well. Sagarin had Iowa at 22 in 2015 at the end of the season when Iowa went 12-2. Did you like Sagarin then too? Difference is Iowa played 3 teams in the Sagarin Top 30 in 2015 and 6 in 2017.

Great Iowa players in Wadley, Jewel, Jackson, Stanley and Fant? So many young up and comers to boot? Man, this was some good stuff. Well worth my 5 season tickets.

Iowa’s season last year was not mediocre at all. Tough schedule. New QB. 40% of the O-line out for the year. It was not a great year, but Vegas had us at 6.5 wins for the year. IMO, we outperformed most expectations and for that, it was not mediocre.

I am a kool aid drinker, but I agree with all you have said. Even if we had beaten either Purdue, NW or MSU and gone 9-4, I would still call it a good season and not a great one.

I don't think anyone is calling it a great season. Only Clownfans celebrate and 8-5 season.

But, that being said, it was a good season.
Any season that you beat Ohio State and knock them out of the
Playoffs, it's probably a good season
