Why not try:

- back shoulder throw to Brecht? Time from the OL shouldn’t be an issue. It’s can be drawn up in the dirt in the huddle. It at least threatens the ball down field a bit. If they sit on the route a double move later is a home run.

- if we’re this deficient of playmakers (and that’s zero doubt that we are), try X or DeJean on offense. How hard can it be to script a handful of plays for them to learn? The reverse to Ragaini should never be called, but if it is, wouldn’t it be better to try it with Cooper or X? We saw Coopers instincts with the TD against Rutgers - but the staff can’t figure that out?

DeJean was a solid HS qb. Small Iowa ball, but solid nonetheless: "As a senior, he passed for 3,447 yards with 35 touchdowns and rushed for 1,235 yards and 24 touchdowns." He's clearly a great athlete with decent wheels and solid football sense. Any thinking person on this board has considered the possibility of him running some wildcat and/or limited plays designed for his skill set. As good as he is on D, I think they could manage to function decently without him for some series given the potential lift he could bring to the O.

But that’s way too sexy…

No use just tinkering around the edges. Just move him to QB.

Remember. The offense was too complicated!! Lol

Can’t do that in the middle of the year imho; too much prep. But it sure might have been a good idea in the offseason, he’s great on D; but there’s a lot of young DB talent sitting on the bench to take his place

Why not try to get Johnson in open space? I don't know a lot about FB, but line him up outside and come across for a hand off, etc. Or just have him fly down the side line or a crossing route?

nothing will help this shit show. those changes needed to be done 10 months ago while KF was clearly on a long term vacation celebrating his new contract!

this team is screwed for the season because their OC and HC absolutely failed them this off season!

Until there is a completely new coaching staff on offense, and that includes KF, then nothing will change. There is a severe lack of talent on offense, and really no help on the way. The coaches are responsible for all of this mess, and until they are gone, its only going to get worse. Next year dumb and dumber will use the bullshit excuse of playing a new qb with no experience, and the list of excuses will continue.

I don't get it either! They lined him up some in high school. He caught balls in high school. He has the speed to break one.

apparently we are trying to get laporta out in space, he's our shifty guy according to bf

lmfao
It's comical. Throwing screens behind the line of scrimmage to a tight end for a 6 yard loss, and we have a qb that is so clueless he won't throw it in the dirt when there are 3 guys waiting for the TE to catch the ball.
