Just a somewhat interesting FYI I guess.................... but former Hawkeye for a Day Nate Skonieczny & High School nomad & former 1 year (?) Bettendorf wrestler Dayton Racer are in the JUCO semi-finals, at 149 & 157 respectively. Skon wrestles for Jamestown and Racer at Iowa Central.

Iowa Central (Coached for the past 11 years by former Hawkeye from Estherville Luke Moffitt) has 5 in the semis and trails Northeast Oklahoma by 2 points after the 1st day. Ellsworth, NIACC, Iowa Lakes and Iowa Western have guys going in the semis as well.

Iowa Juco's hold 5 of the Top Ten team spots currently.

Same year as Gilman and Clark. Depending on what happened after Iowa, he could have gray shirted than had one more year than them

No. You can't grey shirt once you have enrolled full time. Plus that article is 2 years old. His D1 eligibility is now gone but at lower levels and NAIA he would have some.

What's the story with Lauterbach from Iowa Western? Pinned his way through the tournament. I assume his future is Greco but he would be good to have in the room next year at 184!

I believe there were 6 lead changes in the team race during he finals. Toght 3 team race comes down to Heavy and Iowa Central comes out on top.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe back in the day after the high school season was over and the post high school all star matchups were occurring... the Meeks clan refused to wrestle Skon because they didn't want a blemish on his accolades. I think they justified the dodge by saying there was too much weight difference.

Did he start school at Iowa?
