Everyone on HROT used to be immensely wealthy, and had people for mundane yard work. I wonder what happened? This neighborhood is going downhill fast.
I have about 5 acres to mow. I like to do it myself because I enjoy it, it's done right and I don't have a bunch of $10/hour guys roaming around my property every week. Part of my $20,000 investment in lawn care equipment is a $400 push mower.

I tried that last weekend. Fumes got the best of me so I figured I might be about to blow myself up. Will try again this coming weekend
Put in fresh premium gas, change the plug and turn it over slowly with the plug wire close to the
head to see if there is a good spark. If so connect the wire to the plug and give it a strong pull.
Should start. If it's a 2 cycle while the plug us out use a flashlight and look in the plug hole at the cylinder wall for scoring of the wall. Might need a bit heavier oil mix to make it run.
