Smashing Pumpkins to play Rust Belt in East Moline

I just ponied up over $400 for TOOL tickets last Friday. I might have to drop some more cash this week. Also, I just heard that Tenacious D will be coming to the Adler Theater.

My working theory is all these bands have discovered Quad City style pizza.

You present that shit to a Jack Black and this happens

I saw them 20 some years ago in Moline. I much prefer smaller venues. I don’t have fond memories of the show.

I'll definitely be there. I went to a Bob Marley tribute a few weeks ago there. Was a couple hundred people for that show. Will be curious what this venue is like for a packed show. I'm a little skeptical but I can't wait!

You saw them at The Mark?

The Rust Belt is much, much smaller.

Correct. Must have been in 97 or so. I liked them early on but saw them on the Infinite Sadness tour. Their music had changed quite a bit by the time I saw them.

They get a super eclectic mix of bands. I've seen 3 shows there so far - it's pretty cool.
BTW, I see Quiet Riot is playing and one of the openers is Blackfoot. I wonder if that's the same Blackfoot I saw in 1977?

Train, Train. Take me on out of this town....

The immediate problem I noticed with the venue (other than six domestic dollar tall boys) was how narrow and long it was (giggity). If you're in the back and happen to be a shorter person, I would imagine you couldn't see the stage very well for a busy show. It's too bad it couldn't have some sort of levels or slant to it (not sure if that would even be possible). Regardless the place is really awesome. The lighting effects are VERY impressive as well

Slanted floors are a must.

Any idea how much the tickets for Tenacious D are going to cost? The Adler website has no pricing info and Ticketmaster isn't revealing it either. The sumbitches go on sale tomorrow!!!

They came through Dallas last year, but were only “ok.” James awkwardly talked at the crowd every other song.

looks like a great place to hold fight bar 2020. Hopefully the night Quiet Riot plays. Bang Your Head gets me pumped.

Who woulda ever guessed that one of the hottest live music venues in the entire Midwest would be in friggin' East Moline. Sean Moeller is a miracle worker.

Will be going to this. I also saw that Jason Isbel is going to be there as well in July. I have never been to the venue but it looks awesome.

Going to Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childress in Omaha in April and 311 in DSM in July. With all of that I had to pull out on Hinterland this year to even things out!
