Snap!! Another great match-up!

I can't believe Nickal would be held to 2 points and the other guy would only have 6. I would think there would be a lot of action and Nickal would get caught and give up points.

Dean is too solid. Nickal has not wrestled an opponent close to Dean's level. Nickal wrestled very well at a weak weight this year.

Sure he wrestled someone close to Dean's level...... he wrestled Dean! And you do realize that is Bo the summer before he entered PSU don't you!? He was not near the the wrestler he is today even during his RS year. He also was not close to a true 84 KG guy.

There is no doubt that Dean could slow him down...as stated he is strong as a bull and maintains position. The video shows that Dean would have a hard time finishing on Bo just as Bo may have finishing on him. I think it would be a toss up, low scoring bout with most $$ on Dean as it should be.

The match I would love to see if Bo goes 184 next year is Bo vs Nolan Boyd as I think the kitchen sink get tossed just as Bo and Brian Realbuto. Brooks and Bo going upper body may be interesting t

But I doubt it will happen next year as I believe Bo stay's 174 next year.

ev_flores has it about right...."if Bo puts on a couple of pounds." maybe a bit more though.

Yada yada yada then...
The matchups at the bottom would be top notch entertainment. Nickal vs Realbuto deserved an encore.

Week weight......that's what a lot of detractors say about Zain and 149. Do you call Sorenson first looser?? I would think T&T would love to have Nickal on his team! Nickal lost two matches that are on him for going for broke when he didn't need to. Can't fault him too much for being aggressive.

Anyway....like him or not that's a judgment call for each to decide. I think if anyone is to consider an NCAA runner-up a looser, it should be the wrestler who placed second!

I don't know BD...your folks spent a lot of time putting Sorensen down this season and he was clearly the second best at the weight. You guys kind of dug your own grave with the weak weight. Also, a true freshman and a RS Freshman meeting in a title match and it's not little guys? BTW, Myles Martin made his own breaks in that match.

don't think anyone said they didn't like him or would not want him, I just think he is a notch below retherford and nolf.

I took "I like"and "second loser" a a bit of an oxymoron. Add in the "weak weight" and I calculated he didn't think too much of Bo.

For the record, I'm not too keen on some of the stuff our fans post either.

Also, agree Myles earned the win......seems he learned from the 3 previous matches with Bo and now Bo needs to learn as well. Hard to be and elite wrestler 4 times in one year. There is a reason Cael went after myles last year.

Then maybe 2-1. Don't think Bo is going to move up.

Bo is definitely not moving up this year.

I agree (for this past season). That's the scary good thing about Nickal - there is still a lot of room for improvement.

You're right, some PSU fans were overly critical of Sorenson. However, that doesn't take away from Zain beating 10 All-Americans this season.

I'd take Dean, just because I believe he has more of his "man strength"

But the way Nickal lets it all hang out, can't root against the kid. Didn't consider Martin but he'll also be a contender next year!

Papa,
That is the advantage of Bo staying at 174. The fans could be in for another sure fire exciting, no holds barred rematch. Just hope Realbuto is healthy. Didn't he tear another ACL??

You do realize Bo was still in High School when this match took place right? Just a couple months after winning a 170lb. State Title. I would bet on more than two pts being scored in a future match.

Bo was a very accomplished freestyle wrestler compared to Dean at the time.

Kind of like Mark Hall beating Jason Nolf except Bo didn't win.

Not really, dean finished 3rd @ ncaa and hall is a cadet world champ

Nice try bit not really....
dean placed 3rd at jrs the year prior.

Actually it was later this summer (Summer of 2014) that Dean placed Bronze at JR worlds. But he was coming off of a 3rd place finish at NCAAs. I think chiefs analogy was pretty good, Nolf/Dean both were very inexperienced with freestyle.

Bo had just won a champions tourney in Turkey at 84kg a few weeks prior in May.Took fifth in Cadet worlds and was the guy who beat Mark Hall. This isn't even counting his Fargo titles.

Gabe just started after his true freshman year in college.

Oh Snap! Either you have a memory like a card catalog or your internet research team's 21 minute response time to a multi point attack just set a new record. Treating a rookie poster like......a rookie poster, nice rep'in for the HR

I don't have any trouble rooting against him. He may be a fine young man and all, but he's not OUR fine young man so................ if he takes a few lumps here and there, I can handle it. :D
