I did see this coming. He will want another round of checks to go out and it's honestly not a terrible strategy. If you look at his approval numbers through 2020, you'll notice that his apex was a week or so after the previous stimulus passed. Turns out, people like money. We've also seen the FBN clip of him saying he might even throw a bone on minimum wage, not that Mitch will be interested in taking it up, and of course he'll make it conditional on "after the election".

As things stand today, they know they don't have enough votes to win or even be within cheating distance.
