Do you know something about JoeT leaving? That’s the first I’ve heard of that. I hope sticks as I feel he’s going to have his break out year.If CMac returns he’s in the starting lineup ( unfortunately ). If he came off the bench that’d be ideal bc we all know he’s an offensive liability and Franny won’t have that luxury next year. It is too early to predict a starting lineup bc there is still the realistic chance that Franny lands a player or 2 from the portal. Also don’t know if Joey T sticks around.
Need to put an asterisk by the C position for whoever starts bc it’s likely to be C by committee.
Some feel that if Jordan comes back--which I would say is extremely unlikely--that Joe could transfer.Do you know something about JoeT leaving? That’s the first I’ve heard of that. I hope sticks as I feel he’s going to have his break out year.
This sounds pretty close right now but I’d not be surprised if Kris Murray pushes his way into consideration, not sure where yet position wise but I just have a feeling he makes a big jump this off season. I’d add that NAIA senior may opt into the Hawkeye program tooToussaint, Wieskamp or Perkins, Patrick McCaffery, Keegan Murray, Filip Rebraca 😎
No, he won't.Wieskamp will be back.
In that scenario, I wouldn’t blame him. JBo needs to move on. It’s time. Some feel that if Jordan comes back--which I would say is extremely unlikely--that Joe could transfer.
If JoeW leaves, I say go with Kris in his place.Toussaint, Perkins, Wieskamp, PMac, and Murray is a decent lineup and would win some games.
If JBo comes back, he should be playing the shooting guard position. Honestly, it would be fantastic if he decided to come back now with the CJF departure. We need a shooter. What we do not need is JBo at point guard. Some feel that if Jordan comes back--which I would say is extremely unlikely--that Joe could transfer.
Gotta give the fans what they want.Guessing we are going to get heavy doses of the Mccaffery boys.
Ultimately, I hope Kris is good enough to supplant Connor in the starting lineup. He adds more to this lineup than Connor. If JoeW leaves, I say go with Kris in his place.
I previously said that while I love everything JBo has done for Iowa, that it was time for him to move on. I wonder if any of the decisions about leaving or staying that players (Nunge, Wieskamp, Fredrick, Bohannon, etc.) are making are interrelated, or if everyone is simply acting independently.
That’s a horrible basketball teamStarters:
G Toussaint
G Perkins
G/F C. McCaffery
F P. McCaffery
F Ke. Murray
Bench (in order of entering the game):
F Kr. Murray
G Ulis
C Mulvey or Ogundele
G/F Sandfort
If Bohannon comes back, he starts alongside Toussaint and pushes Perkins to the bench.
If Rebraca comes, he competes with the McCaffreys for playing time, with one of the three coming off the bench.
Wieskamp will be back.
You simply can’t have that team on the floor together. Teams would just dare Iowa to shoot threes and pack the box.Starting lineup:
Joe T
CMac
PMac
Keegan
A transfer to be named
Iowa has no shooting elsewhere tho. Ulis and Perkins can’t shoot eitherYou simply can’t have that team on the floor together. Teams would just dare Iowa to shoot threes and pack the box.
What you think he should do and what he will do are entirely different things. If he wants to play in the NBA he will be.
I hear you but I’d argue we don’t know if Ulis and Perkins can shoot at a respectable level. Judging by form and HS footage, I bet Ulis can be a good shooter.Iowa has no shooting elsewhere tho. Ulis and Perkins can’t shoot either

Perkins shot 35% from 3-point as a senior. Ulis was at 40%.I hear you but I’d argue we don’t know if Ulis and Perkins can shoot at a respectable level. Judging by form and HS footage, I bet Ulis can be a good shooter.

They can shoot. I don't believe iowahawkeyes2020 ever watched a game to understand that if you don't play you don't have the opportunity to show that you can shoot.Perkins shot 35% from 3-point as a senior. Ulis was at 40%.
