So lose to a double digit seed

I don't think it was a lack of caring. I just don't think they dont have any legs left and are mentally fatigued. Nothing else can explain all the wide open 3s and offensive boards given up.

It's pretty horrible right now.

I do not care any more. If the coaching staff and players don't.why should the fans. This coaching staff needs to do what the footbal staff did. Sit down and analyze every aspect of the basketball program and find the deficiencies. Then implement a countermeasure for each. Otherwise, Carver attendance may return to the Lickliter years if this sinking ship does not get righted.

Almost every year, then this needs to be addressed as to what the problem is. Energy is completely gone come February.

This team sucks. I am so tired of hearing the fatigue excuse. Every single on of these teams have actually played one more game than iowa. Why arent they fatigued? Iowa just isnt that good. Be glad we made the tourney. They will be one and done.

Guess i can go golfing tomorrow and it frees up my weekend. I will not be taking time off work to watch this garbage next week. Glad i didnt today. Dont feel nearly as attached when i dont watch the game.

This from a senior dominate team. WOW that's pure pathetic right there.

Fran either needs to get some balls and start benching players or get out of town. This is just a joke of a program, how 2 out of 3 years can to fall like this? How is that possible?

Um, WE may very well be the double digit seed. I can't imagine much more than a 9 seed, given how we're playing right now!

Except last year when we won our last six regular season games, or two years before that when we closed strong and went to the NIT Final.

I would say that Iowa is the biggest choke job of any team in the history of big ten bball. In fact, not sure if they even belong in the ncaa. Losing to Illinois is a horrible loss, especially having lost for what, the last month and a half, wow Iowa is not very good period

What a shame. Kids just don't look like they care. They are ready to move on and I'm ready for football. So sloppy with the ball, asleep on defense, no go to at the end of the game.

Illinois played Wed. and missing some starters. Iowa has lost it. Guard play in the last 15 sec was terrible. I can see why they were ranked 9th pre-season in the Big 10. Played down to that standard.

We are a total failure since the Maryland loss.

Sorry guys. My fault.

I said in a thread a couple of weeks ago that they'd win one more game, and it would probably be at scUM.

They just couldn't bring themselves to prove me wrong.

Pretty sure it was in March. But yeah they lost to the 12 seed PSU. They can't win in the BTT. They should just not show up next year. Just chalk it up as a L and save the $$.

Penn St was a #13 seed last year.
So, in the past two seasons, Iowa has been kind enough to give the BTT #12 and #13 seeds their first and only Thursday wins in BTT history.
Sure are nice guys.

Forgot to add that by losing to #11 the year before that, we gave the BTT #11 seed their only Thursday win in BTT history, other than the amazing run that Illinois had in '99, when they got to the finals.

Takeaway message: Iowa's last three BTT performances could possibly be the worst 3-year showing by an upper division team in any conference tournament in NCAA men's basketball history.

I will say these past 3 losses have been hard. They are LEAPS and BOUNDS ahead of where we were with Lick. I remember if we got past Thursday it would of been like winning the SUPER BOWL!
