That was not the same team today, that played so tough against MSU. The team in Indianapolis was ready from the get go. Determined to win....physical and punishing. The team today seemed star struck...shell shocked or whatever. They looked confused and overmatched. They were challenged and shocked by the early scores and for whatever reason, didn't respond at all. Just seemed like the stage was too big...while Iowa was trying to figure out that they had to play football...Stanford just stuck it to them. 35-0. That doesn't happen to the team that played MSU so tough a month ago.
Stanford was awesome and deserved the win. Just wasn't like the Iowa team I'm used to watching. No resemblance at all. What happened to the Iowa team I watched all year? I think Iowa left their game in Indy or on the practice field. The real Iowa didn't show up at the Rose Bowl.
So Disappointed and embarrassed as a fan. I hurt for the team. What a painful game to watch.
