A truly DC "Free Palestine" story:
A colleague's wife took a friend, who is Jewish and who wears a yarmulke, to some sort of social event at their club. As they were departing, one of the other women attending the event, who otherwise had not said a word to them during the event, said to them "Free Palestine" as they were passing on their way to the exit. They stop in their tracks and ask, "what did you say?" The woman, clearly surprised to be confronted, then started babbling on about how she just thought that it was like a social greeting to be used these days.
Mislead much?

- It was a strike on a house (targeted at Hamas officials of which 2 are confirmed to be there and died hooray!!!
- Reuters headline says “attack on tent camp” but their own byline says “air strike on house”
- The opening paragraph then says the strike triggered a fire in the tent camp
- Reuters quotes Hamas health agency which we know and have proven here cannot be trusted to provide accurate numbers (see earlier in this thread)
- Reuters quotes IDF spokesperson confirming death of Palestinian Sec of State and other high-ranking official
- Reuters article goes on to state that rockets were fired toward Israel by Hamas from the same vicinity in Rafah after the attack
So Israel did not target them, it was an unfortunate unintended consequence.
Hamas should surrender and stop firing rockets towards Israel and this all would be over tomorrow.
If you care about civilians and children, you should be promoting the need for Hamas to surrender today. That is the best way to stop the bloodshed.
The U.S. is saying that Israel needs to show more care to protect civilians.
France is saying the same.
Germany is saming the same.
Egypt is saying the same.
The UN is saying the same.

What more can they do? They drop leaflets, announce by helicopter loud speakers, and try to direct civilians to safe places before any attack is commenced. A lot of Palestinians take the martyr positions for themselves and refuse to leave because they won't do what the "jews" tell them to do.

How is this the end of the thread? Hamas likely won't. So what play does Israel have then? Keep lighting up innocents? I mean they can but then they deserve criticism over it.
Reminder that the people of Palestine voted for this and no matter how much they cry and claim to be victims now, they are not. Any and all military response to this is justified. Even if it means burning Palestine to the ground.
The international community should come together and end Hamas
Hamas got what they wanted, to kill a bunch of Israelis, knowing that Israel would kill many more Palestinians in return trying to get revenge. Basically, Hamas wanted to sacrifice many of their own innocent people so that the rest of the world would be outraged and possibly side with the Palestinians instead of the Israelis. It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for them.
Question. If Hamas doesn't intentionally plan an attack to murder innocent women and children on Oct 7th, are we having this discussion?
