this year every time Nebraska won a game they thought they had it all figured out (their fans). And then they would lose their next game and want to commit suicide(their fans)

So - I guess their back (again)??

This is all new to me as a Husker fan, I really don't see the out cry against Iowa as you all post here. I took 3 Iowa fans to the Husker vs, Hawks game and we all had a blast. Hell after the game I bought hawk fans drinks for the amazing season their team had (which it was, best season in Hawkeye history, or close to it) I actually think there is a lot of respect between our two programs, now stop worrying about NU beating UCLA and go beat the shit outa Standford!!!!!

UCLA's ability to tackle was Charles Barkley's turrabell (terrible). Nebby had 326 in rushing. Iowa could have had 400+. UCLA's QB focused on his primary receivers so much that everyone knew where he was going to go. UCLA never made Tommy Turnover throw a terrible toss. Oh, well. It's a win for the B1G. Hoping tOSU pounds the Iwish to pieces.

UCLA was garbage last night. There were about 9-10 Big Ten teams that could've beaten UCLA. Good for Nebraska for winning. Next year they face Big Ten defenses again and it will look very different than the Bowl game, or very similar to how this season played out for them.

Collins is gone. Hopefully Valentine follows him because then they may look like UCLA up front next year.

It made the big ten look good so that's great for Iowa. Nebraska is no longer a threat like they were in the past, but it's good for mediocre big ten teams to best upper crust of other conferences.

Nebraska has a large senior to be class next year. Looking at their schedule, I could see li'l Nebby losing to Oregon at home, at Wisconsin, and at Ohio State before facing Iowa in Iowa City. Northwestern could be a toss up. Teams that can tackle well and make Nebraska one dimensional can force lil Nebby to rely on Armstrong's arm. Tommy Armstrong will still be Tommy Turnover.

While Nebraska ran well against UCLA, Nebraska's OL is still only slightly above average but no more. Nebby has 3 starting OL spots to fill in next season and its defense is losing Collins and most likely Valentine to the NFL. Nebby also loses most of its starting secondary and there are whispers that Nate Gerry is thinking about turning pro. I really think the LBs of Nebraska were marginal. Nebby could a good team next year or similar to this year. I still believe Mike Riley was a terrible hire for Nebby and hope to see that come to fruition.

I'm betting Greg McMullen is moved inside to DT to team with Maurice Williams so they will as tough on the inside to protect their nimble but short LBs. Teams with good big TEs can exploit their LBs. I think Valentine is gone regardless. Not staying for round 2 of Mike Riley.

Apparently you don't know who we have redshirted or who is coming back( besides those two) or what changes the staff will make.

I live in Lincoln and see the same things. Most of the Nebraska fans I know don't expect much, rarely mention national titles as they are cognizant of the gulf of time between then and now, and try to support the team even if they bitch about outcomes.

You'll hear constantly that Eastern Nebraskans are bitter, delusional and stuck in the mid nineties- according to some Iowans.

you have your head buried in the sand the two weeks before black friday? this board was unbearable because of your ilk.

You mean this board, where 20 percent of the threads are virulent anti-Nebraska if they lose and you don't hear much if they win? The blame can be placed, but it isn't on Nebraska fans. I find them to be quite reasonable and tolerant for the most part.

Their posts and online demeanor leading up to the game was probably the most annoying presence by an opposing team's fans in the some 10 years I have been on here. Either you're a troll account, or you weren't paying attention.

He is a Husker fan and we all know it. No shock he doesn't see the ridiculous nature of Nebraska fans on this board. Sometimes I wish we had moderators here who would take trash out and it wouldn't get to the point it consistently gets to with their fans.

Well there's 2 problems. Mod tolerance is one, but that's a slippery slope. This might turn into a boring place of the mods started taking down threads and banning people.

The amazing thing to me is how willing our fans are to engage in it. We beat them this year at their house and stomped them in the conference standings so I wouldn't think we'd be worried about them anymore. It's not even a "winning with grace" thing - it's a "these people aren't worth our time" thing.
