some notes on the 2017 season

there were 12 1st year starters
Levi Paulson was the 13th when he started at RT in the bowl game
players like RSFR RB Young got his feet wet vs BT competition with FR RB Kelly-Martin, FR WR Smith-Marrsette, FR WR Brandon Smith on offense.
RSFR OT's Jackson and FR Wirfs got valuable starts, with Jackson being named a FR AA.

this sets this season up in a better position to have more success vs the 2017 season.

the defense will be anchored by a DL that returns 7 of the top 8, the LB's will have to adjust on the fly but they are not youngsters,

"Bobtarn" was a personal favorite for me also. I have seen him on the national boards but it has been some time since he posted here. Solid recognition by Bloddred.

This is all true. I hope it translates into wins. Other teams have returning guys and new guys coming on to fill positions of need too.

Wrong.
BF and Stanley did pretty well with the oline injuries and shuffling.
BF would have loved to have had a couple of olines gdgd pissed away.
