Tyler Cook launched himself through traffic, in the lane and more than 10,000 spectators gasped.

Can't wait for some "Home Cook-en" in Iowa City!

Check out this video on the pic above!

Mix a stud or two in with the great role players that Fran develops, and look out.

Still can't believe how good the team is this year.

The worst of it will abate for a while in Iowa until after the 2/1 caucus, at least until each party's candidate is chosen. In the meantime, the advertising focus will be in the primary states. Can't wait for 2/2 to get here!

1st thing to work on will be the same thing Woody worked on; free throws. He'll be going to the line quite a bit.

I recorded and watched his team's game on 1/15. He shot free throws and looked to have great mechanics as he swished both.

He has nice moves around the bucket, too, but he is vastly underutilized. From what I can tell, they do not have much structure in there defense or offense. Cook seems to be team oriented - he often would post high and pass to the open person when he would invariably get double-teamed. One of his teammates is a Duke commit who is very talented but often too much the focus of the offense. IMHO they should be running more stuff for Cook as his play warranted it.

Fran just keeps developing players to their full potential. Just think of what Cook will be when he is had a few years in Fran's system. Awesomeness!

For those that have been questioning Cook's offensive prowess, I will leave this quote about his teammate Tatum, the Duke recruit:

"Tatum finished with a game-high 14 points, 16 shy of his average."

I'm assuming that HS basketball in Missouri is played in the same manner as everywhere else, i.e. with one ball. It seems as though, on this team, it is Tatum's ball.
