About the deep dark black hole behind the opponents net in the second half.
What was Iowa thinking installing that wrestling tunnel behind the south end of Carver arena. Really provides no distraction what so ever for the apposing players while shooting free throws, plus it moves that students even farther away from the court. Way to go Iowa. I'm sure it was Gary Barta's last razed finger to the Iowa students!

architecturally, I'm not sure where else they could have put that given where the wrestling facility is located.

I'm sure it's a not-insignificant reason behind Goetz's ideas on improving Carver.

In an ideal world, they'd demolish it and start over, say near the HoF. But that's not happening any time soon.

Build a new basketball facility and keep Carver primarily for wrestling....

The entire facility has been mismanaged going on the last 10-15 years. They should have never started pumping money into that building. They had the opportunity to build new and should have taken it.
