Since 2016, the Southwest Airlines Community has been a space for Customers to exchange knowledge, share stories, and learn about Southwest news and initiatives. We’ve enjoyed witnessing the connections made between travelers across the country, and we have some new changes coming that will assist our Customers as they plan for travels and tune in to stories from Southwest.
The Southwest Blog will be relocated to the Southwest media website: swamedia.com. This site hosts press releases, media alerts, past blogs, and future stories. Be sure to bookmark the link so you can stay informed about Southwest news and read heartwarming stories about our Company.
Earlier this year, we launched the Help Center as a resource to provide self-service support for Customers. Much of the information on this website was sourced from the Community’s Knowledge Base (decommissioned in 2022) and solutions within the Discussion Forums. The Help Center aims to provide a single source of truth for our Customers, and with this new resource available, we have decided to decommission our Discussion Forum.
We’d like to acknowledge the success of the Discussion Forum would not have been possible without our Community Champions. They have committed countless hours to providing helpful solutions and fostering meaningful conversations in this Customer-to-Customer discussion space all because they love Southwest and what we stand for. We are so thankful for their contributions over the years and celebrate their deep dedication to helping other travelers.
These changes – the Blog’s transition to www.swamedia.com/southwest-stories and the decommission of the Discussion Forums – will officially go into effect on September 16, 2024. We look forward to continuing to share our Heart with you and delivering quality Customer Service via the Help Center.

This absolutely sucks! I never registered or posted on that forum, but googling answers to question often returned the best answer from that forum. Now, you have to use the wayback machine if you want to find all that knowledge.
A great airline is going to get turned into just another airline by that fvcking vulture investor group.
Anyway... appreciate what we have here in our little community, because it can all go *poof* whenever our corporate overlords decide to do that.
