Well, on the one hand, (and as an ocean lover) I get this move. Coastal areas are sensitive, and oil spills can cause long-term damage to ecosystems and local economies that rely on fishing and tourism. On the other hand, I just don’t see how we ever achieve true oil independence with policies like this. Cutting off domestic drilling only increases reliance on foreign oil and keeps energy prices high. I get the environmental concerns, but it feels like we’re sacrificing energy security and economic stability without a clear plan to balance both priorities.

Conversations about DACA have been going on for a long time. Some of these people have been here since they were born and are now middle aged. They are really Americans in that they have lived most or their entire lives here and are contributors to society. I think that America being humane towards these folks is in the good of every day Americans. It at least deserves conversation, don't you agree?
