same thing he wore at senior nationals last year. Freestyle has a different type of rule where the large knee brace like Lee and Bull wear is not acceptable...hence why Bull didnt wear his. Since they wrestled other guys outside of HWC unlike Myles Wilson wore his since he was wrestling Kennady.A lot smaller than last year's... Looked like more of a sleeve really

I've been thinking about the infamous knee brace ever since Lee didn't wear one at Sr. Nationals last year. Why does he still wear one? Is it truly precautionary? Seems odd that he would still wear it if it was precautionary.
I'm pretty sure Marinelli tore or slightly tore his ACL and that's why he wears it but why does Lee?
Spencer injured his knee before the season started last year. Look at the knee sleeve he wore during his sophomore championship run and compare it to the brace he wore last year. Last years brace was about stability. I’m not sure if he’s had surgery since March. We shall see when the season starts.
I think at this point it’s just having a sense of support during his longer Folkstyle matches. I would not be surprised if he is still wearing a brace in practices either.
That would be a matchup I’d like to see. Imar hasn’t been on the mat for a while that I remember so he might want a tuneup.I was watching the 2018 semifinals yesterday and if the HWC has another event then Marinelli needs to face Imar. That match was physical.
I wouldn't call any sort of match with Marinelli a "tuneup". I'd call it a God damn war. That would be a matchup I’d like to see. Imar hasn’t been on the mat for a while that I remember so he might want a tuneup.
Depends on where you see Marinelli and where you see Martinez in the pecking order of 74kg. Martinez is top 3 to only Dake and Burroughs and took a match from Burroughs, while beating 4th/5th ranked Nolf handedly in their best of 3 at the WTT by scores of 9-4(was 9-2 before Nolf got in with 4 seconds left) and 11-2. Nolf is higher in the pecking order than Marinelli, so I'd probably say Marinelli would be a tune up for Imar. You don't want some straight up scrub, but you want someone that you would realistically beat handedly but still presents a fight. Imar would beat Marinelli pretty easily IMO and it's not a slight against Marinelli but more so a compliment to where I see, and where I assume Crablegs see's, Martinez relative to the best in the world.I wouldn't call any sort of match with Marinelli a "tuneup". The pecking order is irrelevant in this argument. A "tuneup" is usually considered a cakewalk. You're confident Imar wins pretty easily, conversely I'm confident it would be anything but easy. I'm sure Imar walks away with the win, but it would be a hard fought win. If there's one wrestler out there that will punish you for winning, it Marinelli.Depends on where you see Marinelli and where you see Martinez in the pecking order of 74kg. Nolf’s knee was really banged up for those matches. I would think he’d give Imar a better test if healthy.Depends on where you see Marinelli and where you see Martinez in the pecking order of 74kg.
