Spencer Lee vs Daton Fix at Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic!

Beard is a JR. This event is SR only.

Oops, Thanks. I knew Beard and Karoly were commits to NW.. didn't know they were both just JRs.

Will Hoffman and Beard matchup at states, or is Malvern Prep private?

I'm not convinced that Mejia will qualify academically for a d-1 school

I personally had a lot of red flags with him. I have no evidence other than gut instinct, but I also wasn't blown away with skill level. It's so darn hard to evaluate talent at the lower weights. The moment we got Lee and Gavin, I had a feeling Mejia was gone. Hopefully things work out for him -- but hopefully not quite as well as they turn out for our guys!

I think they have the weight alllowance because it's a fun all star match. These kids just spent all season making weight and most are about to jump right into FS/GR making weight again. This way they get to participate without the strict weight.

Then bump up a weight if you need to

The Dapper Dan (still can't think"Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic") would not be what it is today if there were too strict of weigh-in rules. They work hard to get these matches in place and forfeits would not go over well there either.

Besides, the weight allowances gave us Kolat vs Bono;) And this could be a similar matchup as mentioned before, Fix is simply bigger than Spencer right now.

Just re-watched there last match ups. Lee had takedowns 5-1. I think he can put a good ride on Dayton, but not sure he can turn him. Fix not being able to get exposure points will be big for Lee. Figure Fix will still have a few pounds on Lee, but kudos to both kids for making the match happen!

Could Flo have been posturing when they suddenly moved Fix to #1 ahead of Spencer recently? ....... Perhaps they made arrangements to allow Fix 15 pounds for their weigh-in also!

I find that doing some pre-match computer file cleaning, cache cleaning, etc. and I have much better results no matter whether watching Flo, BTN, BTN2GO or whatever.

It is usually an individual computer issue rather than the broadcast. Unless of course the Purdue Engineers are involved.

The osu match streamed fine for me.

I thought that it might be my connection or something, but I checked it by live streaming a few other things with no problems. I closed out of everything else and sat 10 feet from the router. I checked on here, and it seemed like multiple people were having issues. I live stream Big10 plus as well, and never have a problem on my end. Yes, the Purdue match was worse, maybe those students have a future at flo. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I will certainly give it another chance at some point.

Please tell me it is Comcast's fault. Knowing that more than a few had no problems does confirm that it quite possibly was my internet. I am moving in AprilI, (just after everything I will want to see is over) there are better internet options at that location and I will be upgrading.

I do appreciate the feedback, It is good to know that some changes on my end can remedy it.

The OSU match streamed fine for me, smooth with no buffering the whole way through. I watched it through my Roku using the Flo Sports app.

I've had issues with Flo streams on my computer on their website, but have never encountered issues on the Roku app

Better than fine here as well. Every year I say the same thing. If you are a huge wrestling fan, you absolutely have to be a member of flo. well worth the money.

If you're wealthy - I'm not - there are dozens of other things that my money needs to be going to!

5 lb allowance it is.............

So...........guess Lee gets to have pizza before weighing in............

5 pounds is way to much. Can you imagine the size of that pizza! He won't be able to wrestle a few hours later. And swimming - out of the question for days.

Wealthy? It's like $130 a year. If I loved the sport of wrestling and I couldn't find a way to save $130 a year I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting my time on an Internet forum.

Wasting my time? What does 15 mins. on HR have to do with not having, or willing to spend, $130 a year on a premium internet site? I guess $130 to you is spare change.

$130 a year is $2.50 a week. I'm not a fan of telling people how to spend their money but it's not like it's an insurmountable price for what you receive. That is less than 2 sodas a week out of the vending machine.

And that's coming from a guy who isn't necessarily a fan of the Flo staff.

There are plenty "huge wrestling fans" out there who don't subscribe to Flo, myself included. It's far from a prerequisite. Some enjoy it -- good for them -- but plenty of us get along just fine without it.

I don't think the annual membership fee is excessive. (The monthly fee, especially at $30 for the Iowa-Okie State meet, is too much, IMO.) Some of us just don't want to support them and will see how they behave going forward. Hopefully they win over some of us with professional conduct and unbiased coverage. We shall see.

I think they'll be just fine either way.
