Amazing! Big arm and can make all the throws. Best film of a qb commit to Iowa since?However he’s taking every snap out of the shotgun in a west coast type offence. Because of this I am thinking that Iowa is an odd choice for this kid? Ferentz Sr., Jr., and KOK will arguably change nothing to facilitate this kids strengths. Put this kid in our pro style , 3 -step drop back 2 receiver sets and plausibly this negates his natural ability to see the field and strike quickly. Wondering what other people think about this?

We will throw much less than his high school team. He will learn to throw from under center and has said himself that he feels he is a pro passer (under center and gun). If our passing attack allow more shot gun may be installed but won't become exclusive. He will adjust and do fine. Great touch on the ball.

Might be a big reason he chose Iowa. If he wants tp play at the next level he'll need to develop the under center part of his game. Doesn't hurt that our last two QB's are in the league, and KOK has some experience working with QB's at that level. Remember our current QB played in an offense that hardly ever threw the ball in high school, so I imagine it was a big learning curve for him as well.

Yes very good arm strength. I've never been a good judge of accuracy from highlight films. Doesn't seem too mobile, but our offense hasn't been predicated on a mobile qb. As several of you posted will be interested in seeing him under center taking snaps. I do think his commitment was a good surprise considering our situation just a month ago. Just like most Iowa QB's before him, will need time to develop within the program before we know what we have.

Also would like to know his personality and demeanor. I hope he's a vocal leader.

Has the physical tools from his highlights. The highlight clips don't show you the incompletions, so we don't get any idea of his accuracy. He has a good skill set that is something to work with. No guarantee of what he'll be like 2-3 years from now, but collect enough QB's with physical tools and you'll get 1-2 to work out.
