Note also that both Spencer Stone and the other French train hero, Anthony Sadler, had just announced plans to join Alek Skarlatos who had already went back to Roseburg to join his town's friends in support too. And that Sadler also was attending Cal State in Sacramento too, as noted in this article.

And one more note is that I guess only the "suicide by cop" on a grand scale like what happened down there in Roseburg get noticed much, as the day after the Roseburg massacre we had another of such "suicide by cop" where a very dangerous 55 year old woman was threatening everyone with a very nasty knife and got shot and killed by three sheriff deputies who felt there was a "threat" here only a few miles away from my house here in the Portland area.

In places like the U.K. where areas like England or Wales where no cops kill anyone with guns or get killed themselves for periods of two consecutive years, even this story would be major headlines in that country, but this hardly gets noticed much even by the local population with the amount of violence we have every day in this country, especially with the drama surrounding Umpqua College the day before.

I guess the guy who knifed the guy was lucky law a ton of law enforcement wasn't around, or he'd have been shot even just for flashing a knife, let alone stabbing someone with it. Closing in on 1000 with over a couple of months to go!
