In wrestling, everyone loses. Some of us lose off the record (practice, exhibitions, tourneys). Some of lose on a national or international stage, but everyone loses. What's important is what we do after we lose. We get over our disappointment, recover from our injuries, learn from our mistakes, get back up on our feet, and keep working, just like Gable. That's just what Iowans do, and we'll do it again.

Well said. This too shall pass, and I have no doubts Spencer will bounce back from this.

With that said, any troll who comes celebrating doesn’t truly understand what these athletes put into this sport. It’s why the blood round is so tough to watch for me. So many guys who have put their life into this and they fall short. Wrestling certainly isn’t for the faint of heart.

I obviously root against guys, especially PSU, but I just could never find pleasure in watching someone who worked so hard fall short of their dreams. Loser mentality.

I agree. I t is often so hard to watch the R12 losers shake hands and leave the mat. Don’t care what school.
