Woody had started every single game of his entire career.Gessell- much as id like to see williams its not happenning.
Jok
Baer/uhl
Uthoff
Wagner
Clemmons and gessell just ain't working. Can't have to guys that can't score playing together. Come on Fran! Get with it or be one and done.
So Baer plays one good stretch of 4 minutes and all of a sudden he's starter caliber? Same for Wagner... I'm sorry but this lineup makes no sense. Woodbury has been one of our best and most consistent players this season.Gessell- much as id like to see williams its not happenning.

give it up.... it's a basketball message board. If proper english were a requirement in basketball, it would be in a sad state of affairs.Fan 76, please provide your credentials for advising everyone who should be starting. It is difficult to consider the comments of anyone who has difficulty using properly the word to, too or two.
This one. But Jok @ the 2.MG
Baer
Jok
JU
Woody
Anyone but AC. Let AC come off the bench and play great like he did last year. Sit MG the final 3 minutes of each half.
Nah - they tried that against the 12th best team in the Big Ten and got beat.PG- Jok
SG- Jok
SF- Jok/JU
PF- JU
C-JU
Eff it, play 2 on 5.
All but one game. They had Gabe start on senior night last season.Woody had started every single game of his entire career.
Yes mine was in no particular order. Changing the starting lineup is the only shot we have of winning some games in the NCAA tourney. This one. But Jok @ the 2.
Woody had started every single game of his entire career.
Yes we did but if we would have only had JU and Jok on the court we probably would have won! The other 3 blew it by being on the court!Nah - they tried that against the 12th best team in the Big Ten and got beat.
I like it but I'd definitely play WilliamsGessell- much as id like to see williams its not happenning.

True up to the last 3 or 4 games, where the only thing he is contributing is rebounds. His supposed calling card, defense, has been noticebly lacking. So Baer plays one good stretch of 4 minutes and all of a sudden he's starter caliber? Same for Wagner... I'm sorry but this lineup makes no sense. Woodbury has been one of our best and most consistent players this season.
Baer has been playing well all year, what have you been watching? So Baer plays one good stretch of 4 minutes and all of a sudden he's starter caliber? Same for Wagner... I'm sorry but this lineup makes no sense. Woodbury has been one of our best and most consistent players this season.
Why is Williams all the sudden the savior? The kid is a unranked 3 star freshman who has barely played this year but because he had one game where he scored 8 points all of the sudden he is a starter who is gong to make Iowa start winning again? Come on people.
He did not start on senior day last year vs NW. Gabe Olaseni got the start that one time.Woody had started every single game of his entire career.
PG....a blind monkey
SG....Jok
PF....Uthoff
SF....Betty White
C......a shoe
I say this is just as good as our regular line up.
This one. But Jok @ the 2.
How could any five do worse than the regular five have done the last several weeks? Loss after loss after loss until now there's nothing else to lose. But Fran will stubbornly stick with his guys and go down with the ship, which has been taking on water since Penn State. One and, mercifully, done, so that's reality.
But in a dream world where there is some accountability and effort is rewarded, the NCAA starters would be:
Jok
Uthoff
Wagner
Baer
Williams
I think that group would actually give Iowa a chance to win if they all played at least 30 minutes.
I think that group might come out with its hair on fire and act like they had some heart, like they enjoyed what they were doing, like they actually were willing to do whatever it took to win.
That's all I've ever asked of any Iowa team. Just play hard. This Iowa team--the regular starters--is softer than a Carver ice cream cone, and they have consistently shown about as much energy, enthusiasm, and effort as a cat on a sunny windowsill.
What a miserable finish to what had been a miracle season only moments ago. But then that's what they mean by "no guts, no glory."
Uhl starting on a D1 team? He doesn't deserve to start, let alone have a D1 scholarship.PG....Gesell
SG....Jok
PF....Uthoff
SF....Uhl
C......Woody
