Lot of places have Iowa still on their first 4 out.

Saw on twitter the bubble has shrunk down to Cal, USC, Syracuse, Illinois St, Iowa and Rhode Island. Saying 2 out of that group could get selected?

What will the committee place an emphasis on? RPI, SOS, Top 50 wins.

Personally still think we are headed to NIT, but damn this team like all year was so close.

I have said all year long that this was NOT going to be an NCAA team. I was wrong for 2 weeks that included road wins against Maryland and Wisconsin. I am right again but I'm not happy about it. Not a chance for NCAA and we don't belong this year, sorry.

I am in the NIT boat, but there is still is talk of Iowa. Their top 50 wins if the committee uses that could be enough to sneak them in.

I still think we are a 2-3 seed in the NIT. Get to host at least 1-2 games at Carver

A Clown fan trying to tell someone else they aren't relevant.

I know, it's actually quite comical. Even when Freddie was there, Iowa State wasn't a blue blood. Yet, these mental midget sheep fornicators still think people outside of Ames actually care about Clown basketball.

And, of course, since Iowa is so irrelevant, it makes perfect sense why he's here. Must be trying to compensate for something. Sad lives some people live, I tell ya. Lol.

Ha ... lol... Exactly the response I expected from you loosers .... That's why I came here....And it worked. Why are you hanging around a BB board....Ur patehic season is over. Go to bed...G night.

NIT is fine, no issues with that for this young team.

Though since the committee is valuing performance against top 50 rpi, the Clowns winning tomorrows game and moving into the top 25 rpi couldn't hurt.

Cause we beat them.

So in typical Clown fashion, they will probably .. loose...

Yeah.. well Nice try. Sukeyes won one game of 30 that mattered..... I'd rather be where we are than you....Ur irrelevant in the world of NCAA BB......The way it should and with mad Fran ...U will stay there
Are you speaking via hand puppet?

Who knows? Lunardi the CUSE lover thinks they are in.

Who knows a couple teams that lost today are most likely out now. Just don't know what the committee is gonna do.

K-State, Iowa, Syracuse, Illinois, Illinois State, Rhode Island. Pick 2.

Unless MTSU, Nevada, or VCU lose or someone other than SMU/Cincinnati win the American. Subtract 1 for each of those that fail.

If Rhode Island could please lose to Davidson, that would be helpful.

We belong just as much or more so than most of the other bubble teams. Get a clue:rolleyes:

Wow, I think Northwestern really hosed us. The win over Maryland likely keeps them in the Top 50, adding TWO Top 50 wins for Illinois (as opposed to 51-100). Root hard for Wisconsin and Duke (NW played Notre Dame) to hopefully knock NW back to #51.

We now need the following teams to win their tournaments:
Nevada
Middle Tennessee
VCU
SMU/Cincinnati
UT Arlington

Then there would be one slot left for:
Illinois
Illinois St
Iowa
Rhode Island
Syracuse

Our Top 50 wins stack up favorably against everyone but Illinois (who also owns a sweep).

How can the ILLINI still be in after losing to Rutgers and playing uninspired against MICH.

Not saying Iowa is any better, but I gotta think the committee looks at that RUTGERS loss.

I think ILL st will sneak in.

I think we are an NCAA tourney team. Now. If this team would have learned to play better defense a month or so sooner, and we not gotten hosed @ Minnie, we would have at least 3 more wins. That would have us in the tournament. Heck just beating Omaha and the pseudo-Canadians up north would have done it, so the experts say...

This team didn't start the sesson as an NCAA tourney team, but down the stretch they proved they were. Regardless, I am fine with it. It'll build more fight and hunger in our guys. Next year they will be pretty badass, me thinks

What was Iowa's record without Tyler Cook? I know, I'm reaching for any angle, but isn't the committee supposed to factor in key injuries? Jok missed a couple games too.

Not sure what other fans thought, but this year's team exceeded expectations. Still disappointing because if you add two more wins the season ends differently.

Instant validation of my point. Thank you.

I enjoy living my life. Hopefully some day you will enjoy yours. But what else would you expect from us "loosers."

There's a sliver of hope no doubt, to keep myself sane I have buried that within. K-state and Rhode Island wins hurt.

Losing to Davidson today would sting for Rhode Island. And thanks to Davidson, they missed a chance to avenge 2 losses to Dayton.

NIT this year. Might be good for our very young team as they might get to play an extra game or two than they would have in the NCAA.

I'm really glad there is no doubt Iowa is going to the NIT.

No chance that the committee will look at Iowa's record vs the top 50 rpi teams, the away wins.

No chance Iowa could be among the last few teams on their board, prompting them to see how close some of those road losses were.

No chance 8 of the members that were on last years committee who are still around this year won't do a Tulsa again.

Really thankful that when the NCAA selection show starts showing those names, even though Iowa is still in the bubble lists of the top bracketologists (I.E. not Lunardi), that there is zero chance their name would come up as a play-in vs Kansas State in Dayton.

What a relief.

Well Iowa is 3-0 against teams that will be playing in the Big Ten and twelve tournament finals.

To all the dreamers, hang tough...

Ruckles Bracketology - Bracket Matrix 9th place (Lunardi is like 22nd place).

It would be the biggest SHOCK in todays world if they hawks get selected.

If the committee was focusing on SOS, Top 50 wins, and overall season I would have a better feeling.

But they are using RPI and that does not bode well for Iowa. I can't see the committee leaving out RPI teams in the 30's, 40's for teams in the 80's. There would be mass rioting.
