I had intentions of travelling down for the meet but it sounds like maybe the weather is going to cancel that trip.
Bamm is just mad cuz he will be spending the weekend with his FIL and MIL at Pizza Ranch.

Do you know a husband and wife ( Linda and Mike ?) Age about 55. He was a coach and son was really good. Also coached Kenny Monday and was very well liked by former kids. Met them in St. Louis about 5 years ago....
know several Linda's and Mike's, but don't think any of them were coaches for Kenny.
Might be heading down with some friends. Depends on the weather. Forecast doesn't look good. None of us have ever been to Stillwater before. If we do make it down, what are the best places for food? Best bars?

We scrapped our plans to go. The forecast keeps getting worse and the ice is projected to be a bit more North too. If you decide to go, please drive safely.

I was planning to make the drive from Iowa leaving on Saturday morning, but with the freezing rain, ice storm warning have pretty much decided to stay home! Sounds like it would be very difficult driving through Kansas City area and down through Kansas???

Right now the team does not leave until tomorrow PM. I really wonder if this is gonna go down. Every stinking time I had to travel to OK it was a disaster. Ice, Snow, No power in Hotel. Crap. 18 hour drive that should have been 10 . Yeah it was Tulsa Nationals but not much diff. Same time of year.
The last time, my son and I counted well over 100 cars in the ditch. I think we stopped counting at Des Moines.

Why would they leave in the PM on Saturday for a 10 hour drive? I'd want the team well rested on Sunday morning.
Joe's food has gotten horrible, as well as the service. Try the Garage across the street for better burgers and fries. Beer is colder too.
