Stoll out for the rest of the season with torn ACL

ruined tonights match for me to tune in and see the crawl at bottom of the screen, to think how hard that kid worked all summer to get back in the lineup, makes me sick to my stomach, nevills had same kind of luck his first 2 years and seems to have come through, so hope sammy can too.

It wouldn't surprise me if Sammy is not able to make it back again. I mean there was no massive weird angle on that knee. Why would the next one be any more successful?

What a horrible, horrible break.

Truly awful. What bad luck. Feel for the big guy. Iowa went from being a likely AA at Hwt to likely NQ. We need a top Hwt recruit.

I agree with your sentiments, but the injuries are much different. Nevills suffered a torn pectoral while Sammy has a bum knee. For a heavy, Sammy has the worse injury by far.

This is the way I look at it. From a practical standpoint... he's got to look at the prospects of what life is going to be @ 40/50 years of age for a 300# man walking around on bad knees. I fear that he never wrestles again and I wouldn't blame him one bit if he makes that decision.

That said, it certainly leaves TnT in a bad spot recruiting wise and their plans going forward.

Same knee?

Feel just horrible for Sam. Seems like a really good guy with a good sense of humor, drive, and skill. Hopefully he makes it back to 100%.

Frequently the repaired ACL is better/stronger than the original. Probably better to have it be the other ACL than a failed ACL surgery with a needed redo.

Anybody know for sure - same knee or opposite knee?
