So on the 20 year anniversary it still brings tears to my eyes but baer my friends reminds me the most of him what is your thoughts love ya man see you someday!
Bartels wasn't a walk-on.Baer is a long way from Chris Street. Not even the same game. I'd compare Baer to one of the Davis walk on guys, like Jim Bartels.
Something about Baer's energy or excitement is similar to Chris Street...So on the 20 year anniversary it still brings tears to my eyes but baer my friends reminds me the most of him what is your thoughts love ya man see you someday!
Mac could only shoot 3's...no comparison...Baer already more polished in a lot of areas...Yeah, you're right, confused him with McCausland.
Why did Mac's dad quit broadcasting? Or does he still do it and I never see or hear it?

Less local broadcasting control - most games on an ESPN channel or BTN. Not easy to have a production/announcing crew waiting for maybe a couple of OOC games. He did color anyway, not the play by play, so I assume maybe he's not even in demand. Why did Mac's dad quit broadcasting? Or does he still do it and I never see or hear it?
I would agree with this. Both were tenacious defenders and it appears that Baer can be a good rebounder, too. Street was taller and longer/rangier but they are very similar otherwise. Baer is a better outside shooter as a freshman but Street was unstoppable on the block. But their Hawkeye enthusiasm is very similar.Something about Baer's energy or excitement is similar to Chris Street...
He didn't walk on either
That's how I remember it being said during the broadcast, and his dad crying from pride.pretty sure he was a walk on year 1..then went on scholarship year 2...
Much better than Wade. But Wade had that "pump fake under the hoop even when nobody was there" thing going on.
ya u are probably right ..memory fades in timeI remember. Wade banked one it to tie it a Les Jepson had a driving layup with 2 seconds left. Good guys win by 2
