Ive said it before, lots of people who are demanding the feds go away, don't realize how much the federal programs benefit them. It's gonna be a slow change, but they may get more than they expect (technically less).

Reminds me of an anecdote from a USDA admin who mentioned loan recipients often had no idea many of their rural ag bank loans were courtesy of the USDA. Many times they would be asked to not print the USDA name on the large novelty checks for press conferences for fear of the appearance of handouts
