I saw this in the Economist. I can't recall that I knew this was a thing. Young women offering up regular sex for college tuition and a stipend. Maybe I knew it existed. It is a step above being a street walker for sure.

I heard rumors of this when I was in school at the UI but didn't have any luck because I was usually broke.

If an enterprising young lady goes to school in Chicago there is the Viagra Triangle. North Rush Street, older guys driving convertibles who have colored their hair so they have a distinguished touch of gray. Cruising for 20-something chicks to spend money on. I'm not sure that makes the girls whores, maybe they don't always put out. Not on the first date anyway.
