Wings coach supposedly ‘building a culture of toughness’ ..... by shooting a thousand bricks. Get Megan in and try scoring the ball.

Dallas' roster is full at 12 players. The current 12 person roster follows.

Hopefully this does not impact Megan but Dallas forward Glory Johnson was at the game Friday night after getting back from the EuroBasket tournament, but did not play.

Would you happen to know her +/-?

Would you happen to know her +/-?

The best I can come up with is this:

135: Offensive Rating--an estimate of points produced (players) or scored (teams) per 100 possessions

99: Defensive Rating--an estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions

25.6: Player Efficiency Rating--a measure of per minute production standardized such that the league average is 15.

You can compare Megan's stats to the rest of the Dallas roster here: https://www.basketball-reference.com/wnba/teams/DAL/2019.html

Watching her the other night, I’m not sure she’s going to make it. That’s a totally different style of ball and each team likely has a 6’5” or taller post player making it much more difficult for Megan to operate down low. Dallas has her above the 3 pt line setting picks for a ‘pick & pop’ action but that’s not her game (at this point). When she did get down low, the other massive post physically man handled her. I’m rooting for her, but won’t be shocked if she is cut.

As I have said before, I really hope Megan gets waived and picked up by another team. All the Dallas players seem confused about where they are supposed to be offensively and defensively. I don't know if it is the coach's schemes or his inability to communicate them or just the inexperience on the roster. Their 4-8 record sure speaks to a disconnect somewhere.

i think you are right.

furthermore, in the pick and roll, they never pass to her. like you say, that is not her game (at the moment).

Fears realized.

Dallas forward Glory Johnson, who was at the game Friday night after getting back from the EuroBasket tournament (but did not play), played the last 3 minutes of the 1st qtr.

Megan would have played those 3 minutes.

Megan got in for the last 2 minutes of the 1st half.

the gal she was defending scored 2 layups on Megan (one on a pick and roll).

on offense, it did not look pretty. on one offensive play there were 3 Dallas players all in the same area & Dallas forced up a bad shot

Look, Bluder did the right thing for Iowa in playing her where she did but she doesn’t have a position right now in the league. It’s not the organizations fault. She’s 6-3, and she’s spent her whole career playing with her back to the basket, which she was great at, but she’s not athletic enough or big enough to play the post in the WNBA. And right now she’s not versatile or athletic enough to play anywhere else, on offense or defense.
