In today's (Sunday 5/17) Hawk Talk Daily email, the author, Rick Klatt, linked articles about problems at Illinois and Illinois State. I always thought that Iowa's strategy was to rise above publicly calling out other schools. After our rhabdo and DJK debacles, it's surprising to see a U of Iowa publication point fingers.
Text from the email is as follows:
Last week I talked about the "Twilight Zone" of college football. Later that day, this about the football program at the University of Illinois -- HERE -- became a topic for the public to weigh in on. Then, on Monday, this about the football program at Illinois State -- HERE -- became public. Clearly, the "Twilight Zone" for those two programs has gotten off to a noisy start.
