Ok, give me your best three places to eat in the QC… I already did Portillos yesterday so that’s out and I will hit Whiteys on my way out of town

@torbee no Rudy’s or Harris Pizza

Food affair, steel plow, tantra, 11th st precinct, miss phays Cafe, stouts. These are all on the iowa side

Breweries

Places I've heard good things about but haven't tried yet: The Combine, D'Lua's, Food Affair Bistro, Kitchen Brigade, Bayside Bistro

Zeke's Island Cafe, Village Corner Deli, Mac's Tavern
I should have had Zeke's on one of my lists, good call. And Village Deli is the best non-chain deli in the QC, also a good call.

I haven't eaten at Mac's in probably 20 years, forget they have food. Unfortunately, they tend to have a super dooshy clientele.

Mac's has fantastic bar food. I'd definitely give it another shot

WTF? No mention of Harris Pizza in your top 4?

D’Lua’s Chorizo Omelettes and Churro pancakes are righteous.

1. Exotic Thai

Great place!

I'd say Duck City but probably a little too upscale for just Swag. If you do go there, get the Lobster Bisque. Amazing! John Deere Classic may impact it's availability though.

I hit up Duck City last time I was here, I thought it was good.

A very unique option that I love (but didn't list) is Crane & Pelican in Le Claire.

It is in a former riverboat captain's house and you basically eat in the old living room. Cool atmosphere. They have a very eclectic menu, too --- and often use ingredients grown by their neighbors (a friend of mine in LeClaire has provided them collard greens and other garden items in the past).

That's the kind of stuff the Mississippi Viking cruisers will demand big time.

I went to Exotic Thai, it was good. I expensed it so when procurement looks and sees the phrase “Exotic Thai” they may think it’s a skript club….

which, I’m ok with those questions

to the locals it’s “Erotic Thai”

very good none the less

On my way out of town I hit a place up called Teriyaki Madness….

I’ve had it before and it was quick. The spicy chicken is great

You hate to see a top 3 pizza place list without Godfathers.

Glad to hear it is still popular. I was friends with the owners, used to work with the husband who was in our Friday happy hour group, before I moved away from the QC 15 years ago.
