As has been rumored since Caleb Swanigan backed out of his commitment to Michigan State, the five star power forward made it official today and he will be attending Purdue.
Boilers front line now is very impressive with Swanigan, who is Zach Randolph as a comparison, along with Hammons and Haas...man that is some big strong players up front. They also picked up a 5th year transfer point guard in Johnny Hill, who was a nice player at Illinois State, then transferred to Texas-Arlington last year. Hill isn't a classic point guard, but a solid player. Throw in some of their shooters with their inside guys and the Boilers are probably a top 15 team nationally heading into the season, IMHO.
Still think Maryland is the team to beat. MSU and Indiana also right there with Purdue. Big Ten is going to be tough as heck next season in hoops.
