USM fans are still butthurt over that lawsuit. But back in the day, Doodle sent the Iowa athletics marketing team about 4 different similar examples from Ebay of USM stuff being sold as Iowa gear. For the record, Ol' Doodle wasn't looking for them....they just sort of presented themselves here and there.

So any argument they had that their logo would not "create a likelihood of confusion among consumers" (one of the key tenets of a trademark infringement claim) went out the window almost immediately.

There is a big painted wooden sign just out of Storm Lake that says Iowa Hawkeyes and has that logo. I laugh every time I see it.
