Why don’t you try addressing the topic?

Incapable or unwilling?
I already have in one of this dipshit's 100 other threads on the same topic. Unlike @Here_4_a_Day I don't need to flood a message board with the same topic over and over and over and over and over again. However, I'm willing to repeat myself one more time just for you, PF.

I get that Trump’s administration is trying to send a strong message with these deportation flights, and illegal immigration does need to be addressed. IMO, decades of failed policies (both from Ds&Rs) can’t just keep piling up. But ripping the bandaid off like this feels pretty shortsighted. Removing workers in low-wage jobs without a solid plan to fill those gaps could be devastating to industries that rely on them, like agriculture, food services, construction, etc.. Many of these people are earning less than $25K a year, doing jobs that quite honestly most Americans don’t want (you're kidding yourself if the people bitching the most are going to jump right in and start picking oranges). A more measured approach, paired with actual reform, seems like the better path forward otherwise, were just creating more problems than we solve.

@Phenomenally Frantastic

Additionally, why don’t we put more focus on holding employers accountable? For instance, bring in the foreman or superintendent and make it clear: if they don’t start hiring documented workers within a specified timeframe, they’ll face fines. These fines could increase each quarter, giving them an escalating incentive to comply. At the end of a probationary period, if the issue remains unresolved, they should face more serious consequences, including the possibility of arrest and jail time.

How would YOU address the issue w/o shooting us in the foot by making inflation soar?

Looks like you got the same answer I get when challenging their narrative with reasonable thought:

I wonder if @Scruddy would take a stab at this one. He claims to be above the fray. :cool:

Oh, and I like where your head is...kinda like going after the pimp rather than the prostitute. In fact, I've said something similar years ago:

I'm more excited about the safety of American children improving.
We're going to have to crack down on the US citizen crime to really notice the needle move, though. Last time I looked it up, illegal immigrant crime only accounted for about 5% of crime in the US. iirc
