Targeting in College Football

I understand player safety but the NCAA really needs to amend this rule. Kids are getting ejected from games for making football plays. This is not intended to be an anti-Cyclone comment, but the Texas Tech kid who got ejected was just trying to tackle the quarterback. There has to be different levels of Targeting. In the NBA, they have Flagrant 1 and 2. That needs to happen in NCAA football.

I said the same thing on that play. Players have to run full speed to get to the QB. Their helmet is going to be in front of their body. They don't have time to break down and come to base in that situation. I am all for ejecting and suspending players for dirty or stupid helmet hits. That was not one. Neither was Amani's earlier this year.
