Walmart made an explicit link between higher prices and the tariffs. They could have tiptoed around that issue, never mentioning the tariffs. Good for them.

It wasn’t an issue in 2023 when metal, aluminum, lumber increased 100-300% due to Biden inflation. Now it’s a problem.. got it.

haha, it wasnt Biden's inflation , get a grip. Several $trilliion in covid support money to the nation and then supply chain issues caused covid. Inflation was inevitable. What wasnt inevitable was how the inflation was handled.
Some in charge like a tRump would have put shock measures in place to bring the inflation down over months or a year and that would have led to a worse recession of the economy or worse. But Biden's team and the Fed did the slow cool down which is the right way to do it.
Do some research next time on the causes and fixes of that inflation period as it started late in the Trump 1 admin.
Walmart is responsible to its shareholders and not to the person causing their products to be more expensive. Shareholders have every reason to expect pricing that will result in income and therefore dividends to them for parking their money in Walmart stock.
There isn't a purpose or need for these import taxes. They serve no purpose. We can't produce at costs less than China does.
