I wonder how some of these players feel about seeing other people’s heads (and arms) photoshopped onto their bodies.

Tavion Banks (6'7 Guard???), in 34 games last season, averaged 20.1 minutes, 10.1 pts, 5.0 rebs, .70 steals, 1.0 assists and 1.4 turnovers.
He shot 52.0% overall from the field, 9.1% from three (2-22!!!!) and 70.5% from the FT line.

It should be permanently worn by the mascot in honor of the only mascot to ever be on scholarship.

Speaking of that jump shot....
I’d like to see us add another true Center and let Tavion start at Power Forward. Think he will shine there.
Nice pick up! McCollum will be able to institute his offense/defense quickly with so many kids that are familiar with that system.
Best overall athlete for Drake last year. Real good rebounder, especially on O boards. Jump shot is no bueno. But has enough strength and athleticism to hang with true PF’s.
One thing that drove me absolutely bonkers last year though is when he drove to the basket in traffic, he tended to go for finger rolls instead of trying to slam home a dunk even though he jumped higher than everyone else. Just something to log away for the future.

I wonder if college hoops will develop into a mercenary system . A coach/agent with 7 or 8 extremely gifted players will hire out each season so a school can get an NCAA title?

I’m pretty happy to get this kid. When I watched Drake, it seemed his interior defense was key to everything they did. Good at switching. Strong. Athletic. He didn’t give up any easy baskets.
Why would the extremely gifted players take less money to go the same team when they could get more money going to different teams?

I love that all these Drake transfers are all in on defense and rebounding - like their coach wants - but after 15 years of 'Fran ball', its quite the shock to the system.
Drake wasn't finishing with anything close to that record in the big ten

Only 8 B1G teams made the NCAA Tournament; would Drake had made it if they'd played in the B1G?
What I find funny is how some of you who were all over hire are now backtracking about who he’s bringing in. You’re questioning a guy who has won 4 national championships and just took 4 D2 guys to a Valley championship and beat a damn good SEC team in the tournament. He’s going to build it with players that understand his system. We are not and never have got a bunch of high level recruits. That’s why he’s the perfect hire. If you want Dix, Sandfort and other guys back go cheer for other teams.
